The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed-road race through central London, and the organiser says it is the only half marathon that runs through both Westminster and the City of London. It starts on Whitehall, runs down the Embankment beside the Thames, goes through the City and comes back to finish at Trafalgar Square. The organiser's route page lists Big Ben, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, the Shard and the London Eye.
The 2027 race is on Sunday 4 April. Entry is by ballot or a charity place. Nearly 20,000 runners finished the 2025 race.
The organiser hasn't published the 2027 wave times, route or bag drop. The times, stations and closures below are from the 2026 race, which was on Sunday 12 April.

Getting to London
The finish is at Trafalgar Square, and Charing Cross station sits beside it. These are walking times from some of the termini to Whitehall at Horse Guards Avenue.
| From | To the start |
|---|---|
| Charing Cross | 0.6 km, 8 minutes |
| Waterloo | 1.4 km, 18 minutes |
| Victoria | 1.9 km, 25 minutes |
| Paddington | 4.5 km, 60 minutes |
On the 2026 morning the District and Circle lines weren't running through the middle of London, and the news report advised the Jubilee, Bakerloo and Central lines instead. Check Transport for London's notice in the week before.
Where to stay in London
Westminster and Covent Garden are close enough to walk to the start. Whitehall and the Mall closed to traffic from 4:30 in 2026 and Cockspur Street and Pall Mall East from 2:30, so a taxi won't get you to the front door. Stay somewhere you can reach on foot or by one tube ride, and leave by 8:00 if your wave goes in the first hour.
Collecting your number
Your race pack comes by post. The organiser emails your start wave, arrival guide and bib number.
Race morning 2026 details
The 2026 waves began at 9:15 with the Heart Wave and ended with the Royal Wave at 10:40. Your start wave and arrival guide were emailed to you, and each guide listed a bag drop location. The organiser asked runners to use the bag drop that matched their wave.
The cut-off was 14:40.
The course
The route page says runners start outside Whitehall, pass through historic Westminster, run along the Embankment, loop through the City and come back to the finish. The organiser calls it fast and flat, with no climb figure. The 2027 route hasn't been announced. The organiser publishes the 2026 route as a map on its route page, with a mile mark from 1 to 13, and offers no course file to download.
Along the Whitehall and City route there are performers, music and themed cheer points.
