The Sheffield Half Marathon starts on Arundel Gate in the city centre and, the organiser says, finishes in the city centre too. The route climbs towards Ringinglow, with views of the Peak District, and comes back down Hathersage Road.

Getting to Sheffield 2027 details
The organiser suggests the seven Park and Ride sites around the city, which it says are open all hours. The Castle Square tram stop is the closest to the start. There is no need to buy a parking ticket at a Park and Ride site, and you buy a tram ticket on the tram.

Where to stay in Sheffield

At the baggage store, tear the label off your number and attach it to your bag. After the race, go straight to the store to claim your belongings. All clothing dropped at the start is collected and donated, unless it went into the baggage store first.

The course 2027 details
The route has what the organiser calls a triple test. It gives a timed hill climb as the Peaks Challenge, a timed 10K downhill section starting on Hathersage Road, and the Sheffield Half Marathon title.
Water comes in 330 ml bottles from fixed stations, and bins follow each one. First aid points sit near the water stations. The page links a static route map and an elevation map and does not say which year they show, so check the dates on them. No total climb figure is given.
